Advanced filtering in the web viewer

New filtering panel in the Speckle's 3D web viewer

We’re excited to release a completely redesigned filters panel in our 3D web viewer. It brings a complete visual overhaul and unlocks powerful new ways to review and understand your model data.

What’s new

  • Multi-property filtering: You can now filter by more than one property at a time. This finally unlocks precise and targeted questions, such as show me all doors on level 04 with missing fire rating.
  • Flexible filtering operators: Each filter supports a range of operators. For strings, use “is,” “is not,” “is set,” or “is not set.” For numbers, choose from “is between,” “is equal to,” “is greater than,” and more.
  • Color by property: Instantly visualize your model by coloring objects based on any property you choose.
  • Quick filter application: Apply a filter directly from the selection panel that appears when you select an object. Just click the three dots (···) menu next to a property and select “Add as filter”.
  • Filter management: Temporarily disable individual filters without removing them. Expand or collapse filters to focus on what matters most when you work with complex data.
  • Custom sorting: Sort filter properties alphabetically or prioritize those you’ve selected. This helps you find what you need faster.
  • Compatible with saved views: All filter settings work seamlessly with our new saved views feature. You can save any filtered state as a view, so returning to your exact configuration is as easy as loading a view.

The update is available in all Speckle plans starting today. Start filtering and let us know what you think.
