Watch Speckle get better
October was another busy month with multiple big updates. But we also shipped a long list of useful improvements and important fixes across the web app and connectors.

Large Revit models with thousands of repeated elements push our desktop and cloud software to its limits with huge file sizes, high memory usage, and particularly models that refuse to display in Power BI or other downstream applications. This isn’t just about complex geometry; even simple elements repeated many times, like chairs, columns, or fixtures, can create massive data loads. Until now.

Turn any group of saved views of your 3D model into an impactful and irresistibly shareable slideshow in the Speckle web viewer. It’s the fastest way to craft storylines from complex models and keep clients and colleagues aligned on your design intent.
September was a busy month with many big updates. But we also shipped a long list of useful improvements and important fixes across the web viewer, connectors, and the file upload experience.

The filters panel in our 3D web viewer has been completely rebuilt and redesigned. You can now filter by multiple properties, use advanced operators, and quickly pinpoint the exact objects you need for more precise design reviews.

Save views, organize them into groups, and share them with others. Design reviews and collaboration just got even smoother with Saved views in Speckle.

We're excited to share Power BI Connector 3.3.2 with support for scheduled refresh, dual mode data loading and more to address your most requested features.

We want to make it easier than ever for you to get data into Speckle and experience all its analytical and collaborative benefits. Starting today, native files from AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, and more can be imported directly into Speckle. Additionally, the IFC importer has been enhanced, with its maximum file size limit increased from 100MB to 1GB.
3.8.2 release for connectors comes with ETABS Structural results, improved Grasshopper connector, snapping in Revit, preserved user dictionaries from Rhino and more.

Real-time project and portfolio insights, powered by your models, will soon be available within Speckle. Register for the waitlist to get early access!

Early-stage design coordination just got easier for teams using Rhino and Revit. With our new category assignment tool, architects and designers can focus on clearly communicating design intent without needing to know how to set up complex BIM families or parameters or having Revit installed.
The functionality lets you assign semantic meaning to your Rhino geometry so they can be received as categorized DirectShapes in Revit.

We’ve completely refreshed the Speckle 3D viewer user interface to make your experience even better, and prepare for exciting new features ahead.
