Speckle is the data hub that connects with your AEC tools.

Navisworks > Model Checker

Automated Navisworks data validation for BIM analysts. Zero coding.

Triggered by your rules

Publish your Navisworks models to Speckle, and let Model Checker automatically verify each object’s data. Ensure parameter accuracy, correct naming conventions, numeric range compliance, and more—no manual work required!

Pivot and focus

Not every trade or model area needs the same scrutiny. Selectively publish portions of your Navisworks federation—like HVAC systems or structural frames—so you laser-focus on what matters most for your data checks.

Think bigger

Stay flexible—Checker handles Navisworks object properties, Revit parameters, Rhino user strings, Grasshopper definitions, and more. If your data is in Speckle, Checker can validate it.

See it, solve it

View Model Checker results in Speckle’s online 3D viewer, where problem elements are flagged and unmissable! Assign issues to collaborators by tagging them in the comments.

Advanced insights

Beyond basic validations, Checker outputs data you can explore in live dashboards or tools like Power BI. Track trends, spot recurring rule violations or other key metrics with minimal coding setup.

Good to know

Checker doesn’t currently check for object relationship statuses.

Inter object relationships can’t yet be validated.

Checker is for property data of any kind but not geometric checks.

Checker is not limited to BIM data, anything from Rhino user strings to Tekla structural detailing.

How it works

1. Start for free

Sign up for Speckle and install the Navisworks connector.

2. Define Checker rules

Draft your rules in a spreadsheet (property existence, pattern matching, numeric comparisons).

Publish your sheet as TSV via the “Speckle” add-on menu.

3. Create a Speckle automation

In Speckle Automate, choose Checker as your function.

Paste your TSV link to configure Checker.

4. Publish your Navisworks model

Get your Navisworks file to Speckle—just hit Publish!

5. See results in seconds

Checker runs automatically.

See flagged elements in Speckle with WARNING/ERROR tags.

Query the structured results for deeper analysis or connect directly to your BI tool.
